Dominic Fetherston - Hot Potato Cafe
The Hot Potato Cafe: A moveable installation by Dominic Fetherston.
The intent of the artist was to treat others (especially the disadvantaged) to experience something meaningful outside of their daily routine. The Hot Potato Cafe provided not only warm spuds, but also a rolling cart of opportunity for the public to voice issues affecting them.

The artist and team set out on dates that coincided with Homeless Action Week in October of 1997. Homeless shelters, downtown bus stops, City Hall, and other locations in Victoria's "inner city" became public forums and food free-for-alls, allowing people to warm themselves and share their stories and opinions.
